Still, she could not allow herself to be forced by circumstances into a loveless marriage.

Blakely was kind, gentle, handsome, intelligent—everything any sensible girl could want in a husband. It would be easy to learn to love him—if she had never met Cameron.

To think that less than a month ago she had not even known Cameron Montrose existed. Now he filled her world. His face, his voice, the way he moved and smiled, consumed her waking thoughts and her dreams at night! Without him her world would be empty. But they both knew their love was impossible.
